HEART 9/11  provided the expert skilled labor force, comprised of NYCDCC 157, needed to remodel an injured 10 year Navy veteran and volunteer firefighter’s home, leveling floors along with dormer, window and sliding door work. On January 11, Amtrak employee Robert Zimmerman was severely shocked when he touched a catenary line carrying 12,000 volts while at work and lost his hands. He has a wife and three sons. The HEART 9/11 Veteran Rebuild team was proud to get the work done and were honored to be part of Robert’s recovery.
