HEART 9/11 Founder and President Bill Keegan spoke at the Victims Compensation Fund’s Annual Team Conference on September 17, 2026, in Washington, DC.
Bill reflected on his time as Night Operations Commander of the World Trade Center Rescue and Recovery Teams following 9/11, sharing lessons learned, the promise to never forget, and the founding of HEART 9/11.
He also highlighted the HEART 9/11 Center for Strength + Resiliency, which provides education and training to help first responders recognize and manage stress, build resilience, and protect their mental well-being.
