FDNY, NYPD, PAPD and the NYC Building Trades, recognized the world over, have come to define the safety, security and spirit of New York City — these are the expert volunteers of HEART 9/11. From the ashes of 9/11, this team leverages their unparalleled experience, including the extensive WTC site response and recovery, to respond and rebuild in times of crisis. HEART 9/11 has responded to the bayous of Louisiana, the plains of Oklahoma, the streets of Port Au Prince, Haiti, and local communities following Hurricane Sandy. Our members have shared our hard learned lessons and skills.

Newtown, CT Police Department Sandy Hook Shooting First Responders

HEART 9/11 has been working with the Newtown Police Department and the community of Newtown, CT to create a healing environment for those officers who witnessed this horrific event.

HEART 9/11 Once Again is Proud to Host the “Triple Deuce Historical Day – Fort Drum, NY

Battalion Historical Day celebrates the proud history of the 22nd Infantry Regiment. Soldiers, many of whom will transition back to civilian life, will benefit from hearing about HEART 9/11’s public service and how those military veterans might continue to contribute to society in a similar way.

Injured Iraq War Veteran Home Builds


HEART 9/11 is working in collaboration with other veteran organizations to create healing environments for returning injured veterans. We owe these heroes nothing less for fighting for our freedom. Currently HEART 9/11 is working on the home of Iraq War Veteran and 9/11 First Responder, Chief Petty Officer Colin Redy USCG (Ret) – Brick, NJ

HEART 9/11 Will Be Building a “Safe House” for Recently Freed Enslaved Women – Port Salut, Haiti
